Concerts-in-the-Park Greets
a New Decade
Welcome
to the second decade of the popular Concerts-in-the-Park
season. The Belvedere Community Foundation has supported
the concert program each year with a grant for its line-up
of outstanding musical talent. The Concerts-in-the-Park
Co-Chairs are Ginny Doyle and Maureen Johnson. Members
of the committee include Anne Butler, Jack Doyle, Nancy
Cappelloni, Christina Decker, Tina Dewey, Roger Felton,
Nena Hart, Cissy Kirrane, Petey and Jeffery Stein. These
4 pm to 6 pm concerts are for everyone so join the fun
to picnic, listen, dance and celebrate the day in Belvedere
Park.

saxophone personifies the jazz genre with great dignity

1998 a group of Belvedere volunteers organized a Concerts-in-the-Park
committee and a tradition was born. They produced the first
annual summer series in the Community Park Gazebo. Over
the past ten years a variety of music has been included
(in order of appearance): Corte Madera Town Band, Lisa
Mooyman, The Heartbeats, The Bavarian Band, Disorderly
Conduct, Peter Allen Jazz Band, Gator Beat, Rex Allen Swing
Band, The Rhythmix, The Oliver Hunt Quartet, Santa Rosa
Symphony Chamber, Red Garter Band, Early Morning Brass,
Adler Fellows, Pride and Joy, Doug Adams and Bravo, Ballet
Folklorico, Cosmo, Marcus Shelby Jazz Orchestra, Joni Morris
and the After Midnight Band, Flamenco Indian Dance, Ricardo
Scales, Melody of China, Dance Kaiso, William Florian Quartet,
Griffin Stoller, Unauthorized Rolling Stones and Big Bang
Beat.
